This week I took a picture of a rose with the sun's rays shining on the pastel pink pedals of the rose. The sun has an odd effect on the picture, where the flower seems brighter and pops out because of the contrast of the flower on the sky. I blurred out the flower behind the main one to ensure it stood out and is the main focus. I took a photo of my hand with my fingertips barely touching this extremely clear river and I edited it to make my hand look more realistic. I'm not struggling with anything this week and I am not planning to. Next week I plan on editing more photos to fill up my home page.

This week I edited a photo that I took in an unusual place, Home Depot. It is a picture that I saw in the agricultural section of the store, a pineapple plant. This picture had a pineapple in the front and another in the back. My vision was to focus in the pineapple in the front, so I blurred out everything except it. This way the colors in the pineapple become more obvious and bright. This is a picture that I love from my favorite photographer, Christian Aslund because the camera's point of view is half way in the water, creating an upwards angle towards the ship. This week, I haven't really been struggling with anything, except trying to find more opportunities to take pictures. This week I didn't do much to my website because I have been busy and I missed some school, but I did take some cool photos when I went to work with my mom. She works by the beach, so I took a picture of the ocean with the sun setting in the background. When taking this picture Next week I am going to edit the photo of the sun set and make the sky look a little more bright and emphasize the beautiful pink highlights in the sky. I am struggling a little bit of editing the picture too much and making it look like a cartoon. This week I edited 3 more photos and added them to my collection of photos on my home page. I am using 3 different apps: Easy Collage, PicsArt, and Aviary. These editing apps allow me to change the photo's appearance to appeal to different viewers. Every time i'm out of the house, I take pictures of things that are nice to look at, but need a little TLC to enhance its look. For example, I took a picture of some palm trees with the sky as the background and I made the leaves a nicer green and the sky a brighter blue. As my goal for most weeks, I plan on editing more photos to add to the home page of my website. This week I have learned a lot about my new favorite photographers. My favorite photographer shoots a photo using a telephoto lens from a sky scraper towards the ground. This picture was made to look flat like a platform game. I accomplished learning about how a photographer shoots pictures from different angles to appeal to a variety of audiences. He takes many diverse pictures from, faded, to blurry, to contrasted, to nature photos, etc. I edited my first photo that I took in Arizona today by emphasizing the red color in the rock and raising the brightness and the contrast. Next week I plan to edit more photos using many different strategies.I was inspired to take pictures on my trip to Arizona during Spring Break. This week I figured out what app we are going to use to edit our photos and how we are going to set up our website. I experienced that the lighting of a picture makes a big difference and the angle of the camera can tell a story. Next week I plan on actually edit the photos and insert them on my website. My favorite photographer is Christian Aslund because he angles the camera in a way that it causes an illusion.Be original, creative, and personal in your Updates. I am so excited to use this new website because I have seen my friend's website, and it is awesome and well organized. I can't wait until we can update our feelings on our project weekly. Thank you Mrs. Millsap for this awesome opportunity. |
